Commission for Minoli HQ

“If I may add my personal thanks to Rebecca, who somehow managed to create the perfect piece,
without any guidance form myself or the
Minoli team, other than the commission to reflect and
mark our 10th anniversary of the George St Showroom opening.”

Jonathon Minoli, Managing Director

Jonathon Minoli has long been a supporter of my work, so when he asked me if I’d like to do a commission to recognise the 10th anniversary of Minoli’s George Street show room I said I’d be delighted.

He gave me an approximate size that he’d like, but other than that it was a pretty open brief (my ideal client!) . He asked for something that reflected my own painting style and possibly a couple of nods to the showroom. His only specific request was that he would love it if I could incorporate the carved lions from the facade of the show room into the painting.

“As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations for the Minoli London showroom in Marylebone, towards the end of 2023,
artist and interior designer, Rebecca Tucker, was asked to work on a commission painting that would take pride of place in Minoli’s Head Office.

The finished painting was revealed at a prestigious event at Home House on Portman Square, London, W1, last week on 12th September.
Over 100 guests joined Jonathon and the Minoli Team for an evening co-hosted by Tim Harvey and Paul Denning -Yamaha Racing World Superbike
team principal, with championship rider Jonathan Rea in attendance.

The painting features the carved lions and corbels from the façade of the George Street showroom, a landscape that represents Minoli’s Italian roots,
a street scene of George Street, and then pieces drawn from the foliage along the roads of Marylebone that closely reflect the calm and contemplative feel that Rebecca likes to include in her work.

Rebecca was presented with flowers and thanked by Jonathon Minoli and the artwork is now in place at Minoli’s headquarters in Oxford.”
